3 Bend Stair Rail

The 3-Bend Stair Rail is a stainless steel handrail section with three bends for deeper stair setbacks and more complex pool stair geometries, where an additional direction change is needed to connect the stair profile to the deck anchor points. Stainless construction handles pool chemical and UV exposure for long-term corrosion-free performance.

Specifications

• Bends: 3
• Material: 304L stainless steel, 1.90" O.D. in .065", .109" or .145" wall. Marine grade 1.50" O.D. also available in .083" and .120" wall.
• Sizes: 48" (Spectrum #35009), 60" (#35011), 72" (#35013), measured horizontally on the centerline
• Rail height above deck: 34"
• Leg insertion into anchor: 4" per leg
• Setback: designed for 12" to 18" from the pool edge (18" nominal on the drawing). For a setback of 6" or less, use the 2-Bend Stair Rail.
• Anchors: two 4" bronze wedge anchors required, not included
• Warranty: two year limited

Vertical Drop Between Anchor Points

The two legs land on different levels. The vertical distance between the bottom of the upper (deck) leg and the bottom of the lower leg is the same as the drop between the two mounting surfaces:

• 48" rail (#35009): 24" drop
• 60" rail (#35011): 32" drop
• 72" rail (#35013): 40" drop

How To Size Your Rail

The figures above are nominal, based on 8" step rise and 12" step run. Dimensions vary with the specific application and custom bends are available. To size a rail, measure the total vertical drop from your deck surface down to the surface the lower anchor will sit on, along with your step rise, step run, and setback from the pool edge.
