Backstroke Flags

Backstroke Flags are a required safety and racing aid for any competitive or recreational swimming pool. Suspended across the pool 5 meters (approximately 16.4 feet) from each wall at a height of 1.8 meters above the water, backstroke flags alert swimmers to the approaching wall — preventing dangerous head-first collisions in backstroke events and training.
